Red Oak Man caught defacing political signs

 ELLIS COUNTY – Last week, a 20-year-old white male from Red Oak, Lito Antonio Thomas, was arrested for defacing political signs.The signs belonged to a candidate for U.S. Representative, James Buford; A candidate for Ellis County Judge, Kameron Raburn; and a candidate for Texas Senate, David Cook.

Stolen property from Waxahachie storage unit exceeds $50,000

 WAXAHACHIE – Waxahachie Police are seeking the public’s help regarding multiple storage unit burglaries on Ovilla Road.The incident happened on Jan. 23 between 2 and 3:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Ovilla Road according to police.

Unofficial results name Lynda Isbell new Mayor

 ENNIS – The Ennis special election for Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem saw the unofficial results naming Lynda Isbell as the city’s new mayor.Isbell was the Mayor Pro Tem who stepped down to run for the vacant seat left when former Mayor Kameron Raburn announced his run for Ellis County Judge.
