Waxahachie hangs on to win against Duncanville, 35-28

WAXAHACHIE – The Waxahachie Indians survived a second-half comeback bid by the Duncanville Panthers at Lumpkins Stadium to win, 35-28. The game was tied 14-all when Waxahachie quarterback Jerry Meyer III found Jashawn Crayton on a 24-yard strike to put the Indians in front, 21-14.

WAXAHACHIE – Running backs Kiante Ingram and North Texas pledge G’yrell Smith combined to run for 273 yards and five touchdowns and Jacob Torres completed all 11 of his passes as No. 3 North Crowley crushed No. 1 Waxahachie 42-17 in a matchup of state-ranked Class 6A teams.

OVILLA – The 3-3 Ovilla Christian Eagles hosted the 4-1 Lone Star North Tornadoes (Gainesville, TX) in Texas 6-man Football on Friday, Oct. 9. The Tornadoes took control of the game early, scoring first and forcing the Eagles to punt on nearly every first half possession.

Paris takes control, shuts out Ferris in 2nd half, 44-21

PARIS – Despite an early lead, the Ferris Yellowjackets came up short against the Paris Wildcats on Thursday, Oct. 8, falling 44-21. Paris fell into an early 14-3 hole in the first quarter before rallying to take control of the game. The Wildcat defense shut out Ferris completely in the second half.
