WAXAHACHIE – A police chase that began in Dallas County ended in Ellis County in the early morning Saturday, Jan. 31.
The subject was taken into custody at around 4:32 a.m.
According to sources, “At approximately 2:20 a.m., a suspect who was being pursued by Dallas and Carrollton Police entered Waxahachie.
“They stopped on I-35 at Brookside. While our dispatch has maintained contact with the suspect, law enforcement is still working to secure their cooperation.”
The immediate area on I-35, including feeder roads, was closed to traffic to ensure safety. It was later opened around 5 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The Department of Public Safety, Ellis County Sheriff’s Office, Carrollton Police Department, Waxahachie Police Department, and the Southern Regional Response Tactical team all worked the crime and were on the scene.
