RED OAK – Two people were killed Sunday afternoon when the Silver Mitsubishi Raider being driven by 36-year-old David Adam Lynch of Waxahachie left the road and collided with a storage facility in the 2600 block of E. Ovilla Road (FM 664).

Red Oak IDC provides scholarship opportunity to TSTC

RED OAK – A new scholarship is available for students living in Red Oak and who are planning to attend Texas State Technical College’s North Texas campus. The Red Oak Industrial Development Corp. board of directors recently approved a resolution donating funds to TSTC’s Red Oak IDC scholarship.

FERRIS – The Ferris Dollar General was robbed at gun point around 11 p.m. last Thursday, Oct. 22. Ferris Police responded to 620 S. Central where three unknown black males had taken cash from the register and robbed several customers of their purses or wallets.

At approximately 6:38 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers were called to a one vehicle crash on FM 813 approximately 500 feet east of Falcon Ridge Road in Ellis County.

OVILLA – Fourteen-year-old Tyler Homuth addressed the Ovilla City Council recently in order to complete his requirements for his Eagle Scout project. Homuth is in Troop 520 in Cedar Hill. “I did this project because I have a uncle that I’m close to that is a firefighter,” Homuth said.
