This week in Texas History

March 25, 1843 – Seventeen Texans were executed at Salado, Tamaulipas, Mexico. As the members of the defeated Mier expedition were being marched from Mier to Mexico City, they attempted a mass escape on February 11.

FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than books (March 21, 2019)

The Ferris Public Library will be offering Free Bi-lingual Basic Computer Classes on the following dates: Wednesday, March 20 – Friday, March 22 and Wednesday, March 27 – Friday, March 29. Classes will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on each of these days.

Jacquelyne Howard of Midlothian was named to Fall 2018 Dean’s List at Berea College. A student is named to the Dean’s List who achieves a GPA of 3.4 or higher while passing at least 4 total credits, a course load equivalent to 16 semester hours. U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Kyle J.
