RED OAK – Red Oak High School’s Hunter King is a winner in the Washington Crossing Foundation National Scholarship Competition.

MEMORIAL DAY: Remembering the fallen heroes from Ellis County

Marvin Hubert Allen, the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Allen, was born Nov. 10, 1922 in Boyce, Texas, but his family moved to Waxahachie after the 9th grade, where he played football for the Waxahachie Indians.

Jacquelyne Howard of Midlothian has been named to Spring 2019 Dean’s List at Berea College. A student is named to the Dean’s List who achieves a GPA of 3.4 or higher while passing at least 4 total credits, a course load equivalent to 16 semester hours.

FERRIS: Shelter dogs becoming weapons/drug detection dogs
