Ferris City Councilman Tommy Scott, cooked and served BBQ sandwiches at the Ferris Senior Citizens lunch last Wednesday. Contributions from Len Baxley (Texas Defensive Shooting Academy), The Ellis County Press and Councilwoman Sherie Chapman made the event possible.

Marvin Hubert Allen, the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Allen, was born Nov. 10, 1922 in Boyce, Texas, but his family moved to Waxahachie after the 9th grade, where he played football for the Waxahachie Indians.
