The Ferris Public Library has Ferris school supply lists for Hazel Ingram Elementary, Lucy Mae McDonald Elementary, Ferris Intermediate and Ferris Junior High. Stop by the library, and we’ll give you a copy for your convenience.

We will be beginning our After-School Game Time for ages 7 through 17. This program will be held every Tuesday, starting on Tuesday, August 27, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. Kids can play Wii and PS4 on the large screens, and for those that like board games they can play them as well.

Story Time for preschool children will begin on Wednesday, August 28, at 11 a.m. Each Wednesday, children will be treated to a story, fun activities, and have a snack. Before leaving, your child may choose a prize from the Treasure Chest to take home.

The Ferris Public Library’s Annual Book Sale will be closing at the end of August so if you haven’t taken advantage of the great prices on these books and DVDs you’re running out of time. All the books in this sale have been donated throughout the year, so there’s a wide variety of authors and topics to choose from. And prices have been lowered!

New Books: “The Night Window: A Jane Hawk Novel” by Dean Koontz, “The Enlightenment of Bees” (LP) by Rachel Linden, “Resistance Women” by Jennifer Chiaverini, “The Stiehl Assassin: Legends of Shannara #3” by Terry Brooks, “Under Currents” by Nora Roberts, “America’s Reluctant Prince: The Life of John F. Kennedy Jr.” (Bio) by Steven M. Gillon, “Sea Stories: My Life in Special Operations” (Dewey 359) by William H.
