COACH KILLER GETS 37 YEARS

DALLAS – Yaqub Talib was sentenced Monday to 37 years in prison after pleading guilty to a murder charge in the deadly shooting of a youth football coach during a scrimmage game last year in Lancaster.

RED OAK – Red Oak ISD held its annual Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 5, at Red Oak High School. Thousands of parents, students, vendors and fund-raising groups attended the 2-1/2-hour event.
