Ellis County Sheriff’s Department to participate in Fentanyl abuse panel

ELLIS COUNTY – The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in a “Tipping the Pain Scale” film premiere and panel hosted by Impact Communities in partnership with Hickory Trail Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 24 from 1-4 p.m. at the Texas Theater in Waxahachie.

Drug dealer sentenced to 30 years in prison

ELLIS COUNTY – Patrick Van Cox, 47, Fort Worth was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Aug, 3 for two cases of possessing a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and two cases of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, according to Ellis County District Attorney’s office.

Midlothian man gets 20 years for promotion of child pornography

MIDLOTHIAN – Adrian Leonardo Favila, 25 of Midlothian, pled guilty to 10 counts of promotion of child pornography last week, and was sentenced to 20 years in prison in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
