 BRISTOL – The Bristol General Store was featured on the popular TV show “The Texas Bucket List” Sunday.Known for its small-town charm, friendly faces, and famous sushi, the Bristol General Store has become a local favorite and a must stop destination for travelers exploring the heart of Texas.
Following the run, members of the color guard marched in, and the brevity of Veterans Day hit hard as Mayor Brown and the American Legion’s S.  ENNIS – The Texas Historical Commission has recognized the Brooks Family Cemetery in Ellis County as a significant part of Texas history by awarding it an Official Historic Texas Cemetery Marker.The designation honors the cemetery as an important and educational part of local history.

Fatal traffic crash kills Wilmer man

 WILMER – A 26-year-old Wilmer man died in a fatal traffic crash this past weekend.The incident occurred Saturday morning around 2:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of North IH-35E.The accident resulted in the closure of the IH-35E southbound lanes for several hours.
