Wilmer passes 2025/2026 FY budget and tax rate

WILMER – The City of Wilmer successfully adopted its 2025/2026 fiscal year budget and tax rate at a special called meeting Thursday night.It was a unanimous vote to pass the budget, which will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year’s fiscal year budget by the amount of $4,044,907.

Waxahachie residents to be charged processing fees for credit/debit card payments

 WAXAHACHIE – These days, you have to even pay a fee to pay your utility bill in Waxahachie.Beginning Nov, 1, there will be a 3.95% processing fee applied to all credit and debit card payments, including those on AutoPay for utility bill payments.

Midlothian PD seeking help finding Walmart theft suspects

MIDLOTHIAN – The Midlothian Police Department is looking for two suspects who were recently involved in a theft at the Midlothian Walmart Supercenter at 400 N Highway 67.The incident occurred on Aug. 27 when the suspects were confronted by Walmart employees and fled the scene.
