‘Battle of 287’ a massacre: Waxahachie 72, Ennis 14

ENNIS – Waxahachie senior quarterback Jerry Meyer III and his offense took apart Ennis 72-14 in the 105th meeting of the Battle of 287, matching longtime rivals Friday night at Lion Memorial Stadium. The 72 points is the most scored by a one team in the history of the rivalry.

RED OAK – Despite a kick-off temperature near 100 degrees, moving up in classification (6A) and for the next two years playing their home games in Lancaster, the Red Oak Hawks put together a good enough performance to defeat the Mansfield Summit Jaguars 20-15 on Friday, Aug. 28.

Ferris boys’ soccer beats Godley 3-1, advances to 4A Division 2 playoffs

On Friday, March 13, Ferris took on the Godley Wildcats. The Yellowjackets, riding a four-game winning streak, got scores from Ian Rivas, Kaden Gonzalez, and Daniel Rodriguez-Rivas to beat Godley 3-1 and advance to the 4A Division 2 playoffs.
