WAXAHACHIE – Hannah Dillard (33) of Dallas, was sentenced to 12 years in prison in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

WAXAHACHIE – Plumbing problems wreaked havoc at the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department when, about a week-and-a-half ago, faulty pipes led to a flood there.According to Ellis County Sheriff Brad Norman, there was about two-inches of water standing everywhere.

WILMER – Wilmer City Council will hold a special city council meeting Thursday night to include a public hearing regarding an ordinance amendment to the City of Wilmer Community Plan 2030 (Comprehensive Plan).The plan was originally adopted June 18, 2009.
