Ferris Family Medicine paid out $195,000 in settlement

FERRIS – On Aug. 16, 2021, Dr. Robert Megna, D.O. and Ferris Family Medicine, P.A. in Ferris entered into a $195,768 settlement agreement with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General.

FERRIS – Mike Moffitt, Ferris School Board Trustee of nine years and a Navy veteran, resigned at last week’s Ferris ISD Special called school board meeting. The resignation was over issues that include circumstances yet to be revealed.

Manhunt ends with arrest of 24-year old man

ELLIS COUNTY – Alerts went out last Friday in Ellis County that a manhunt was underway off Highway 287 and Ennis Parkway as the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department and other multiple law enforcement agencies took part in a manhunt that began around 1 p.m.
