MIDLOTHIAN – Police reported two suspects were arrested last week from an aggravated robbery/first degree felony that occurred on May 14 at 8:49 p.m. at Texas Best Smokehouse & BBQ, on Plainview Road in Midlothian.

Police said, “Midlothian police investigators have worked diligently on this case since the crime was committed.”

On Nov. 20, Midlothian PD obtained arrest warrants for Matthew Lee Harvey, 37 from Carrolton and Timothy Lloyd Poole II, 21 from Dallas for their involvement in the aggravated robbery.

Police had responded to the report of an armed robbery at Texas Best Smokehouse & BBQ in May, and employees at the location told officers two males with handguns entered the store and demanded money from the cash registers.

The subjects were wearing hoodies and masks to conceal their identities.

After taking the money, both subjects left on foot towards Walnut Grove Road. Officers searched the area but were unable to find the subjects at that time.

Harvey and Poole are both in the Denton County Jail for multiple crimes committed in other jurisdictions.

They were both charged with aggravated robbery – first degree felony for the Midlothian incident, which was added to their list of other crimes.

The bond on the aggravated robbery charge was set at $100,000 for each subject.
