FERRIS – Newleaf Village, a planned development located between Ferris Road and FM 664, was approved Tuesday by the Ferris Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council.The project is two lots (15.63 acres) that will be developed by VIMO Casa, LLC.

ENNIS – Ennis Police made quick arrests on July 30 in the afternoon after being notified four men had exited the Tractor Supply store in the 300 block of Interstate 45 with three stolen generators.An employee from the Tractor Supply called police advising them of the theft.
