DPS SEEKING INFORMATION ON FERRIS FATALITY

FERRIS - On Nov. 15, at approximately 6:05 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety was requested by Ferris PD to investigate an auto vs pedestrian fatality crash that occurred near the intersection of FM 664 and Jimmy Birdwell Blvd in the city of Ferris.

FERRIS – The City of Ferris received a wonderful Christmas donation earlier this week from Covenant Church in Ferris.The church donated about two dozen gift-filled stockings to the Ferris Police Department.The stockings were filled with gifts and toys for boys and girls of a variety of ages.

Bicycle accident claims life of Glenn Heights man

RED OAK – Glenn Heights resident Dewey Wheatley, 65 was pronounced dead last week after the bicycle he was riding was hit by a 2012 Chevrolet pickup after exiting a private driveway in the 500 block of Interstate-35 S.
