10th grade English teacher resigns over transgender debate

RED OAK – A 10th grade transgender high school English teacher, Zachary Sandri, resigned from his position with the Red Oak ISD last week. His resignation was the result of questions being raised regarding a social media post in which he said he feels “gender euphoria” when students call him “ma’am.

INDIA – Ellis County Sheriff’s Department broke up a major cockfighting ring in the 700 block of E. India in Ellis County near the City of Ferris.According to the Sheriff’s Department, there were 16 citations made at the location with no arrests and no towed vehicles from the location.
