FERRIS – Residents and city workers are cleaning up the city following the damage from Sunday night’s tornado.
A vigorous storm system running into warm, moist and unstable air across the Southern Plains was the culprit behind the explosive thunderstorm development and subsequent tornado activity.

Red Oak Police make arrests in burglary

RED OAK – The Red Oak Police Department arrested two burglary suspects last week in Lancaster. The arrests came after the two men were identified by a Dallas pawn shop owner as having pawned jewelry taken from a home in the 1500 block of Shawnee Road in Red Oak on Oct. 3 at around 1:10 p.m.

C.J. Palmer rushed for 163 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead Red Oak to a victory over Adamson. Joshua Ervin passed for 180 yards and three touchdowns for Red Oak. Coby Cavil had 77 yards receiving and a touchdown on five catches.
