RED OAK – The Red Oak Police Department arrested two burglary suspects last week in Lancaster. The arrests came after the two men were identified by a Dallas pawn shop owner as having pawned jewelry taken from a home in the 1500 block of Shawnee Road in Red Oak on Oct. 3 at around 1:10 p.m.
Subjects were identified as Jason Ray People, a white, 24-year-old male from DeSoto, charged with his alleged involvement with a $50,000 Bond and Courtney Douglas People, a black, 57-year-old male from Lancaster also charged for his alleged involvement with a $50,000 Bond.
Both subjects were arrested in the 2100 block of Candace Drive in Lancaster last week and charged with Burglary of a Habitation.
Red Oak Police were alerted to the burglary Oct. 3 in the evening when the resident returned home and discovered jewelry had been stolen.
