Water flowing in Ferris after pipe capped

FERRIS – Last week when the water in Ferris ran dry it turned out it wasn’t criminal activity at all. What city officials originally thought was a felony relating to a fire hydrant which had been turned on ended up being a water leak at McDonald Elementary School on FM983.

Popular Ferris police chief resigns, detective retires

FERRIS – The Ferris City Council accepted the resignation of former police chief now Director of Public Safety Eddie Salazar at Monday night’s city council meeting. His last day will be later this week.
