ECP-TV takes Ellis County news to the next level

FERRIS – Okay, so maybe I am a little biased. After all, the idea for ECP-TV began in a little office as a dream. Then we moved into a bigger office to have bigger dreams. The Ellis County Press owner (and also, the producer of these shows) Charles D. Hatfield Jr.

HILCO’s Operation Round Up® program distributes $11,073 in local grants

ITASCA – At their Oct. 15 meeting, HILCO Electric’s Trust Board voted to disburse $11,073.00 to six organizations in the HILCO service area. These funds were donated during the third quarter of 2019. Grant checks were presented on Oct. 31 at Itasca HILCO office.

Reception held for new ROISD Superintendent

RED OAK – A steady group of people made their way out on Nov. 13 to meet and welcome their new superintendent of Red Oak schools.  Mrs. Brenda Sanford met hundreds of faculty members, community leaders, parents and students at the Red Oak ISD Education Service Center.

UPCOMING CLOSURES SCHEDULED AT I-45, I-20 INTERCHANGE

DALLAS – In conjunction with the direct-connector ramp rehabilitation project at Interstate 45 at Interstate 20, the Texas Department of Transportation has requested various lane closures to work through the demolition and reconstruction of each ramp.

Ellis County declared a Second Amendment sanctuary county

WAXAHACHIE, TX – The Ellis County Commissioners’ Court responded to attacks on citizens’ gun rights with an affirming resolution upholding the Second Amendment. Article 1, Section 23, protects citizens’ “inalienable and individual right to keep and bear arms.
