FERRIS – Ferris City Manager Brooks Williams, has confirmed the City of Ferris will submit for the HGTV show, “Hometown Takeover,” hosted by HGTV personalities Ben and Erin Napier to consider Ferris for the small town renovation opportunity that was recently announced.
Williams stated on the city’s website, “This opportunity was announced on Jan. 7, and we have through Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020 to get our information submitted.
“While we know that any citizen of Ferris can log on to show, tell, and sell HGTV on why Ferris is most deserving to be featured in the special series, we would like to submit a comprehensive package and give Ferris the best chance.
“We will be shooting video, taking photos, providing history and background, and letting them know why Ferris is a town of opportunity and perfect for this project.
“We will focus on all aspects that make Ferris special. Citizens should stay tuned for how they can be a part of this opportunity and can contribute to the submission.
“We know we will be one of many municipalities vying for this opportunity, but we believe in the unique history and opportunity that Ferris presents. Nothing is guaranteed, but we will approach this with optimism,” Brooks said.
