OVILLA – The Ovilla Police Department found a sawed-off shotgun discarded on the ground about 50 yards from a vehicle they had been trying to stop late last week.Wednesday night at around 2 p.m.

FORT WORTH –  Hagan Carr, a member of Italy FFA, caught a calf during the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo’s Calf Scramble January 24, earning a $500 purchase certificate for a show heifer and the chance for up to $16,000 in scholarship awards. Carr’s parents are Nelda and Nathan Carr of Italy.

ENNIS – On Thursday, Jan. 27, an Ennis ISD school bus was involved in an accident near the intersection of Interstate 45 and N. Kaufman St.On the bus at the time of the accident was the bus driver, an adult monitor, and 32 EISD students.
