Murder suspect still at large

ENNIS – A suspect is still at large after a shooting Sunday morning at 2 a.m. outside of a residence at 1212 Grace Circle in Ennis.A 55-year man from Rice, Texas whose name has not been released, was found unresponsive when officers arrived.

RED OAK – The family-owned-and-operated B&B Theatres is finally open at 609 N. Interstate 35 East Service Road in Red Oak. Over the last few weeks there were test nights offered to media and influencers, and last week an opening gala.

Ellis County Commissioners approve vehicle purchases

ELLIS COUNTY – A discussion to purchase a 2024 Ford Police Interceptor Explorer for Pct. 4 Constable Mike Jones passed the preliminary stages of purchase.  It was noted during the commissioners court presentation on this item, the vehicle is a heavy duty vehicle used on patrol.
