  ELLIS COUNTY – With several upsets and some regrets as to the winners in the Republican primaries last week, four races will require voters to return to the polls on May 26 for a runoff to fill the GOP seats in the November election.

MIDLOTHIAN – Shots were fired at deputies Thursday as they pursued a vehicle with five people inside. The pursuit  through Ellis and Tarrant counties ended in Fort Worth that morning. An Ellis County deputy witnessed a person in a vehicle shooting at 3:22 a.m.

MIDLOTHIAN – Midlothian Police arrested Dallas PD Lieutenant Jeremy Carter a second time last week for allegedly driving while intoxicated in the city. Carter is still on administrative leave from his job due to a DWI arrest that took place in Midlothian this past Christmas Eve.
