In 1992, Democratic presidential nominee Bill Clinton famously answered a voter question about how the national debt affected him personally.Clinton’s response was often paraphrased as, “I feel your pain.”Whether Bill was for once being sincere or not, his words resonated.

Community shaken by Wilmer Hutchins High School shooting

WILMER/HUTCHINS – A school shooting at Wilmer Hutchins High School this past Friday, April 12 left the community and students shaken.One person was shot and another in custody as teams of law enforcement poured onto the campus after the incident.

Google hosts robotics workshop in Midlothian

MIDLOTHIAN – Google recently hosted a free hands-on robotics workshop at the MILE in Midlothian for more than 100 Ellis County students, grades 6-10.During the workshop, students worked in teams to build robots and then competed in a series of group challenges.

One student injured in Avalon school bus accident

AVALON – A Ellis County Co-Op school bus traveling north on Farm to Market Road 55 in the area of Goodwyn Road this past Friday around 4:30 p.m. was hit by a Maserati Ghibli.The Maserati was traveling south when the accident occurred.
