Red Oak ISD hosts immunization clinic

RED OAK – With the cancellation of many back to school events, Red Oak ISD is instead hosting an immunization clinic on Monday, August 10 from 3-6 p.m. at the ROISD CTE Building located at 156 Louise Ritter Blvd. Bldg 2.

Head-on crash claims teen’s life

FERRIS – A 17-year-old died early Saturday morning in a wrong-way crash in Ellis County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. The crash occurred about 4:40 a.m. on the southbound side of Interstate 45 near Risinger Road, south of Ferris.

County approves COVID testing

WAXAHACHIE – The Ellis County Commissioners Court approved two items regarding COVID-19 measures on July 28 for county employees.  The first item approved was regarding the purchase of self-testing swab kits not to exceed $25,000.
