Fatal traffic crash kills Wilmer man

 WILMER – A 26-year-old Wilmer man died in a fatal traffic crash this past weekend.The incident occurred Saturday morning around 2:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of North IH-35E.The accident resulted in the closure of the IH-35E southbound lanes for several hours.

Investigation underway in child burn incident

 ELLIS COUNTY – A two-year-old boy fell into a burn pit last Thursday, Nov. 6 in Ellis County.The Ellis County Fire Marshall said the incident resulted in the child receiving severe burn injuries.

Tyler knocks Red Oak out of playoffs, 45-33

 RED OAK – The Red Oak Hawks needed a win to seal up 3rd place in the district and move into the playoffs. But, going into the game, a loss didn’t necessarily knock them out either in a wild playoff scenario.
