EYES ON ELLIS COUNTY (April 30, 2026)

  ALMA The Alma Volunteer Fire Department recently replaced a 1984 model truck with this new small brush truck, acquired with the help of a VFD Assistance Program grant.

FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than Books (April 30, 2026)

  The Joint General and Special Election will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Ellis County residents can cast their vote at the Ferris Public Library, which will be open as a polling location from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Nicole Procell of Glenn Heights was recently elected to membership into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society, at The University of Texas at Arlington.
