SEPTEMBER 16: Midlothian Heritage 33, Burleson 6

MIDLOTHIAN — Kaden Brown had 320 total yards and four touchdowns as Midlothian Heritage defeated Burleson at Midlothian ISD Stadium.After a scoreless first quarter, Midlothian Heritage (3-1, 1-0 District 5-5A Division II) got going as Brown found TJ Pride on a 10-yard touchdown pass.

SEPTEMBER 16: Red Oak 28, Killeen Ellison 21

Kendall Brown threw two long touchdown passes and ran for the decisive score from 1-yard out as Red Oak prevailed.Brown had touchdown passes of 71 yards to Davion Hampton and 64 yards to Brayden Robinson, who hauled in three passes for 112 yards.

SEPTEMBER 16: Sunnyvale 43, Ferris 14

Rigdon Yates had 305 passing yards and five touchdown passes to lead Sunnyvale (2-2) to a commanding victory.Joshua McDill had a touchdown pass and tallied 127 yards receiving for Sunnyvale, and Evan Johnson led the team with 90 rushing yards and added a 44-yard touchdown reception.

SEPTEMBER 16: Waxahachie 51, Cedar Hill 21

WAXAHACHIE — Quarterback Roderick Hartsfield Jr. accounted for 300 yards of offense with four touchdowns to lead Waxahachie to its first win over Cedar Hill since 1999.Waxahachie (4-0, 1-011-6A) defensive back Keith Abney II started the scoring with a 92-yard fumble return in the first quarter.

Lake Belton Broncos win first ever district game as a high school, beating Red Oak in overtime, 48-47

RED OAK – In an offensive showdown, Red Oak fell in overtime to the Lake Belton 48-47 on Friday, Sept. 9 at home, with the visiting Broncos picking up their first ever district win as a new high school.The Hawks used only 32 seconds to score their first touchdown, and the game was on.

SEPTEMBER 9: Colleyville Heritage 23, Ennis 20

ENNIS – Ryan Zuckert’s 26-yard field goal with three seconds left lifted Colleyville Heritage (2-1) to a 23-20 win over Ennis on Friday night.Ennis (0-3) took a 20-17 lead with 10:59 left on Jackson Gilkey’s 2-yard touchdown run.

SEPTEMBER 9: Lake Belton 48, Red Oak 47

RED OAK – Quarterback Connor Crews accounted for all seven of Lake Belton’s touchdowns, none more important than a 14-yard pass to Micah Hudson in overtime, as Lake Belton came back from a 14-point halftime deficit.

SEPTEMBER 9: Midlothian 32, Killeen Shoemaker 27

KILLEEN – Bryant Wesco caught eight passes for 143 yards, including an 80-yard catch-and-run early in the fourth quarter, as Midlothian prevailed in a District 4-5A opener.Midlothian (3-0) trailed 14-10 at halftime after Shoemaker’s Jamarius Stewart ran for 118 yards and two scores.

SEPTEMBER 9: Midlothian Heritage 41, Waco La Vega 14

MIDLOTHIAN – Midlothian Heritage wide receiver Xavier Moten went for 113 receiving yards and three touchdowns, leading Heritage to a victory over Waco La Vega at Midlothian ISD Stadium.Quarterback Kaden Brown opened the game with a 41-yard touchdown run.
