DESOTO – DeSoto (4-1, 2-0 District 11-6A) led by 18 points at halftime and held Waxahachie (4-1, 1-1 District 11-6A) to just a first-half field goal.

Chad Ragle passed for four touchdowns and Jordon Richburg added two on the ground as Midlothian beat Cleburne at Yellow Jacket Stadium in a District 4-5A Division I matchup.Ragle’s four touchdown passes came on just six completions.

JOSHUA – In District 5-5A Division II action, running back Mason O’Neal led state-ranked Midlothian Heritage (4-1, 2-0) to victory over Joshua (1-4, 0-2) at Owl Stadium.O’Neal finished with 183 rushing yards and two touchdowns, the second coming on a 76-yard sprint in the third quarter.

Red Oak cross country teams run in Waxahachie

WAXAHACHIE – The Red Oak High School and Middle School cross country teams ran in the Waxahachie Life School Cross Country Stampede on Thursday, Sept. 22.The meet was held at the Waxahachie Sports Complex, with Class 5A and 6A girls starting the meet at 8 a.m.
