UPS DRIVER DIES IN CRASH NORTH OF FERRIS

FERRIS – A Houston man is dead after his 18-wheeler crashed through a guardrail and landed in 10-Mile Creek in Ferris on Jan. 5.The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office reported the accident happened on southbound Interstate 45, just south of Malloy Bridge Road.

Sheriff’s Deputies on track for 100% certified in mental health peace officer certification

ELLIS COUNTY – There have been about two-thirds of the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department deputies who have now successfully completed Mental Health Peace Officer Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.This totals about 65 deputies to date.
