The creative power of prayer (part 4)

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the building material of all answered prayer, an actual substance, when activated by believing God, it yields supernatural results.

OUT TO PASTOR: Items NOT on my New Year’s resolution list

It is typical this time of year to prepare a list of resolutions for the coming year. I believe this goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden when Adam said to Eve, "I think I'll turn over a new leaf this year." And so the tradition has come down to us today.

Spiritual growth (part 2)

We must also understand there are levels of teachings and each teacher has their proper place in the Lord which begins with the true salvation message of Yeshua (Jesus).

The creative power of prayer (part 3)

“God, who gives life to the dead and calls these things which do not exist as though they did.” – Romans 4:17 Creative power is creating something with nothing more than the substance of faith as God did when He called into existence the entire creation.

OUT TO PASTOR: Oh wisdom, wherefore art thou?

One feature of the Christmas story has to do with the wise men. I’m not sure if there were three or not, but if there were I should like to be number four. Wisdom is such a rare commodity today I think it would be a wise thing to resurrect these wise men.

“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man (or woman) avails much.” – James 5:16 In order to see your prayers answered you must employ certain steps as did the apostles, Peter, Paul, the disciples and even our Teacher, the Lord Jesus Christ.

OUT TO PASTOR: My little dear, it’s not warm outside!

Once again, it is the Christmas season, which means I have to put up with people offended by everything, particularly that pertains to Christmas. When I was young, we had a little saying, “Sticks and stones may break your bones but words will never hurt you.”

TIM LAUGHLIN: The creative power of prayer (part 1)

“Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.” – James 5:17 Elijah was one of the most powerful men of prayer in the scripture and yet he was a man just like us, a human being with a nature...

TIM LAUGHLIN: Who saw this temple in its former glory? (part 9)

“You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” – Acts 1:8 Jesus built a new temple with twelve stones, making disciples out of common everyday people and after three and a half...
