Joshua C. Johnson, 36, died Saturday at his home in DeSoto. Johnson was well known and respected in the southwest Dallas County and Ellis County communities, where he served as chief executive editor of Focus Daily News from 2007 to present.

RED OAK – As a series of storms rolled through the Ellis County area over the weekend, some residents in cities like Red Oak awoke Sunday morning to no electricity. The first storms came through around 4 a.m. and electricity went down for residents in Red Oak until around 11 a.m.
