SPECIAL OLYMPICS REGIONAL POWER LIFTING MEET RESULTS

The Ellis County United Special Olympics Power-lifting team carried the day at the North Texas Regional Meet held on Saturday, Jan, 13, with 28 medals, three of which were overall golds.The meet was hosted by the Waxahachie Independent School District at Howard Junior High.

RED OAK – The Red Oak City Council came under fire over a political sign ordnance Monday evening.Several local and county residents shared their concerns over the current ordinance to amend election signs.

Ellis County man detained at border on manslaughter felony warrant

ELLIS COUNTY – U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported on Jan. 4  their officers at the Laredo Port of Entry detained Francisco Morales, 59 for an outstanding felony warrant for intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle.
