Candidate application packets available for local elections

ELLIS COUNTY – Candidate packets are available for local general Municipal Election to be held on Saturday, May 4.
Candidate applications may be completed and returned for a place on the May 4 General Municipal Election Ballot from Wednesday, Jan. 17 to Feb. 16 at 5 p.m.
Those interested in running for city, independent school district, and appraisal district seats can pick up the applications at City Hall in the appropriate city of your residence.
As a reminder, only legally qualified voters are allowed to vote in elections in the state of Texas. The last day to register to vote in the 2024 General Municipal Election is Thursday, April 4.
Early voting begins April 22 to 27, and 29 to 30.
