Flying B Animal Rescue and Sanctuary to offer spay, neuter services

ELLIS COUNTY – The search for animal services and maintenance was closed to vendors recently in Ellis County, with no respondents proposing to shelter the animals. The county did receive a proposal from Flying B Animal Rescue and Sanctuary for spay and neuter services.

Train derails, 14 cars overturn

WAXAHACHIE – A train derailment in the Downtown Waxahachie early last week saw no injuries, but the 16 derailed cars and 14 overturned cars blocked roadways for days.The affected area spanned from Peters to Gibson streets. At one point, just after the derailment, five intersections were blocked.

ELLIS COUNTY – There is yet another scam in Ellis County – this one impersonating an Ellis County Court official.Ellis County Sheriff’s Office warned on their Facebook page they had received reports of a phone scam where individuals were impersonating “Sgt. Mike McKenna from the Ellis County Courts.
