Copper theft probable cause of Wilmer lift-station vandalism

WILMER – Wilmer Police were called to the Wilmer Animal Shelter last week in the 2200 block of Pleasant Run Road at 8:40 a.m. on a Criminal Mischief Report Wilmer Police Chief Victor Kemp said may be related to stealing copper.

Ovilla Fall Hazardous Clean-Up Sept. 14

OVILLA – The Ovilla City Council set the date for its Fall Clean-Up event to take place on Sept. 14. The event will be held in conjunction with CWD who will operate the HHW collection/ recycling event at city hall from 8 a.m. to noon.

President Trump’s deal with Mexico on illegal immigration proof that tariffs work

President Donald Trump and the State Department hammered out a deal with Mexico on June 7 that Mexico would do much more to prevent illegal immigrants from crossing the country into the U.S. on the southern border.

While Democrats are accusing President Trump about his “phony crisis” on our southern border we should note how our neighbor to the south handles foreigners in their country. Every country has the right and responsibility to restrict the quality and quantity of foreign immigrants entering it.
