Members of the Red Oak Area Chamber of Commerce, Red Oak City of Parks and Recreation, City of Red Oak, Directors of the Red Oak Pee Wee Football/Cheer Association and special guests were on-hand Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Live Oak Football & Soccer field.

Red Oak 45, Mansfield Legacy 21

MANSFIELD – The Red Oak running back duo of Zach Sanders and sophomore Iverson Young combined for 201 rushing yards and three touchdowns as Red Oak defeated Mansfield Legacy 45-21 in a 4-5A Div. I game at Vernon Newsom Stadium.

Midlothian Heritage 31, Waco La Vega 21

MIDLOTHIAN – Daelin Rader threw for three touchdown passes and rushed for another touchdown to lead Midlothian Heritage over Waco La Vega. Jordan Rogers finished with 191 yards rushing on 15 at-tempts for La Vega.   WL – Jar’Quae Walton 1 run (Pavel Ramirez kick).

DeSoto 42, Waxahachie 6

DESOTO – Senior Samari Collier had 347 total yards and four touchdowns to lead DeSoto over Waxahachie 42-6 in a District 11-6A matchup. Samari connected on touchdown passes of 33, 28 and 14 yards for DeSoto (3-0, 1-0). Robert Richardson added two touchdowns rushing to help in the win.

Lady Hawks get sweep over Corsicana

After dropping a rare, non-district 3 game set to Kennedale HS on Tuesday Oct., 13, the Lady Hawks continued district play on Friday, Oct. 16 when they hosted Corsicana (5-7, 1-3). A slow start to game by both teams led to a quick scoring spurt by the Lady Hawks.
