Kenneth “Kenny” Nolan McElhaney, 65, of Ferris, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 2:35 a.m. in Waxahachie, surrounded by his family. Kenny was born October 5, 1955, in Ennis, Texas, to Louie Nolan and Joyce Lynn (Robinson) McElhaney.

FAMILY PROTESTS SEXUAL ASSAULTS AT SCARBOROUGH FAIRE

ELLIS COUNTY – Gary and Kelly Brignon were at Scarborough Renaissance Festival this past weekend. It is certain they will never be able to enjoy the festival again like they once did. Their 14-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted back in 2018 while working at the festival.

MIDLOTHIAN – Five years after Terri “Missy” Bevers was killed inside a Midlothian church, police said their investigation remains open and they are “determined to see this case reach closure.”  Authorities reportedly have received more than 3,000 tips since Bevers’ slaying.

RED OAK – One person died and two were injured Saturday afternoon at around 4:27 p.m. when 19-year-old Andrew Lopez Jr. of Red Oak apparently lost control of the black Acura Integra he was driving and struck an oncoming vehicle.
