Flooding leaves motorists stranded

FERRIS – Heavy rains this past week caused wide-spread flooding, stranding many motorists.As the downpour deluged the Ferris part of Ellis County last week, at least one car got stuck under the overpass at the 5th Street exit.

MURDERER RECEIVES LIFE SENTENCE

ENNIS – Twenty-four-year-old Ennis resident Dontriel Perry was convicted of capital murder last week in a court of law in Ellis County.Perry was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
