Mexico’s law for foreign residents and workers

While Democrats are accusing President Trump about his “phony crisis” on our southern border we should note how our neighbor to the south handles foreigners in their country. Every country has the right and responsibility to restrict the quality and quantity of foreign immigrants entering it.

Ferris’ Fire and Police Departments will be visiting the Ferris Public Library on Wednesday, June 19, at 11 a.m. We always have a fantastic time with our first responders. Not only do we have loads of fun, but they also provide excellent information on safety and well-being.

OUT TO PASTOR: Another vacation in the bank

The Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage and I arrived home from our vacation late Tuesday afternoon. I’m not one for vacations, but this one was special. Our grandson who lives in Ohio was graduating from high school and then this summer he would be heading off to London for some soccer group.

Animal tethering laws still a concern

FERRIS – As the Ferris Animal Shelter was poised for cleanup and better conditions in that city, a few issues regarding what some consider animal cruelty and treatment are still being considered throughout the state. One of these issues is tethering.

Red Oak grad pursues career with ONCOR

Michael Edwards, a 2017 Red Oak High School graduate, is the first individual to be hired by ONCOR through a local program that began several years ago at the high school. The program was through the High School’s ROISD, TSTC and ONCOR.
