RED OAK – Everyone knows the term vaping these days. It is as popular for adults as it is for high school students. However, almost no one can really guess the side effects and health risks of this popular pastime yet.

Red Oak (5-1, 3-0 in district), No. 7 in SportsDay’s 5A area rankings, knocked off defending district champion South Oak Cliff two weeks ago. And now the 48-13 win over previously undefeated Kimball clearly establishes the Hawks as the district frontrunner.

Jose “JoeMoe” A. Garza, age 74 of Ferris, Texas, passed away Oct. 7, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born in March of 1945 to the late Placido and Celina (Hinojosa) Garza in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, moving on to Ferris when he was 8 years old.
