Wilhelm appointed as Ellis County 504th Judicial District Court Judge

 ELLIS COUNTY – Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has announced the appointment of Midlothian’s Greg Wilhelm as the judge for the new 504th Judicial District Court in Ellis County.The effective date of his term began Dec. 1, and is set to expire Dec. 31, 2026, or “until a successor is elected and qualified.

 FERRIS – Ferris City Manager Brooks Williams has earned the Doctor of Public Administration degree from Liberty University’s Helms School of Government, completing an applied research project that directly examined how to strengthen the way the municipal government serves residents.

PET TALK: Adopt me – the “RULE OF 3”

 Recent Christmas commercials show that puppies are popular for family presents, but I strongly encourage adoption or fostering. Puppy mills, backyard breeders, and scams are growing more common, as are designer breeds linked to greed and rising inhumane treatment.
The City of Waxahachie was recently honored by the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) as the 2025 City of the Year in the small city category. The city also received an appreciation award for hosting TAAF’s 100th annual conference earlier this year, showcasing its commitment to amateur athletics across Texas.
