ALMAAlma’s Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a Fill the Boot for Toys for Tots drive with every dollar donated going directly to help children in Ellis County have a brighter holiday season. The event will be Saturday, Dec. 6 from 8 a.m. to noon at I-45 & FM 1183 in Alma.

MIDLOTHIAN – Senior running back Za’ko Davis accounted for three first half touchdowns as Midlothian Heritage rolled past Hillcrest in a Class 5A Division II Region II bi-district game.

HEWITT – Sophomore running back Taylen Furlough-Strange rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns, leading Waxahachie to a dominating victory over Waco Midway.Waxahachie (10-1) rushed 42 times for 389 yards and racked up 494 total yards and 21 first downs.Midway (9-2) was held 30.
