City of Ferris Mayor Pro Tem Tommy Scott inducted into the Ellis County African American Hall of Fame

  WAXAHACHIE – The Ellis County African American Hall of Fame Museum and Library held its annual induction in early 2026, honoring several community members, including Tommy Scott of Ferris, on Saturday, Feb. 28. Scott serves as the Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Ferris.

  WAXAHACHIE – The deadline for Waxahachie’s historic tax incentive deadline is Sunday, March 15. Iincentives are offered for historic residential and commercial properties to encourage property owners to maintain the historical integrity of the city’s resources.
