Renovation begins on old Ferris Police and Fire Station

The old Ferris Police and Fire Station is being renovated to house two new businesses. According to Ferris Economic Development Director James Branch, a coffee roaster and shop, and a restaurant serving a variety of food including pizza and hot wings.

Red Oak holds Baseball and Softball Complex Grand Opening

RED OAK – The City of Red Oak officially held its Grand Opening of the new Baseball and Softball Complex on Saturday, March 20. The complex is located at the end of Live Oak street and behind what used to be the Red Oak Junior High just past Watkins Park.

Senior Medicare Patrol of Texas has received reports of a new COVID-19 vaccine email scam where people are asked to complete a survey.  Scammers offer a free reward but ask people to pay a nominal fee “to cover shipping.” Survey scams like this are a creative way to steal your identity or money.
