Ennis police search for man involved in theft/fraud/burglary

ENNIS – The Ennis Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a theft/fraud/burglary suspect.The suspect has been caught on camera and was involved in incidents that took place in both June and July, 2022.

RED OAK – The City of Red Oak issued a Mandatory Stage 2 level water restriction advisory for all water customers in the city. The advisory went into effect July 14. • No watering during the day between the hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Supply chain issues delay elementary school opening

ELLIS COUNTY – An elementary school in Ellis County is delaying its opening due to global supply chain issues, according to a statement from the Midlothian ISD.“Global supply chain issues have provided a setback to the construction of Jean Coleman Elementary.

LIVE MORTAR SHELL FOUND NEAR ITALY

ELLIS COUNTY – An old military issue mortar shell was found Sunday near the town of Italy, Texas.The mortar shell, which was determined to be live, was found near Chambers Creek at Highway 77 around 12:43 p.m.

ELLIS COUNTY – Dr. Leigh Nordstrom was suggested for reappointed at the recent Ellis County Commissioners Court for another two years.The appointment to the seat of Ellis County Local Health Authority begins on July 1, 2022 and ends June 30, 2024.
