NEW BOOKS: “Land” by Maggie O’Farrell, “Not What It Seems” by Lisa Jackson, “A Pair of Aces “by Marie Benedict, “The Shampoo Effect” by Jenny Jackson, “You Better Believe I'm Gonna Talk About It” (Dewey BIO) by Lisa Rinna, and “Judaism: All-in-One” (Dewey 296) by John Wiley.

BOOK BLURB: “Land” by Maggie O’Farrell, released June 2026.

“Land” is a novel about separation and reunion, tragedy and recovery, colonization and rebellion. It is a story of buried treasure, overlapping lives, ancient woodland, persistent ghosts, a particularly loyal dog, and how, when it comes to both land and history, nothing ever goes away.

As spellbinding and varied as the landscape that inspired it, “Land” is, above all, a story of survival, for our times and for all time.

The library is located at 301 E. 10th St., across from Mutz Ballpark. Library staff may be reached at ferrislibrary@ferristexas.gov or (972) 544-2110, Option 9.
